Neal Nolan - Palm of th' GiantBorn in Winnipeg, MB, a feeling of obscurity from his surroundings and prescribed social precept developed a dedicated interest in sociology that ultimately led to a complacent resignation from popular society.

An inquest to understanding devoted Nolan’s intellectual and artistic practice to a varied number of transient years studying the various motions of social appendences, which helped to develop a unique social apperception.

An interest in semiotics, signage and font design coupled with a distaste for mass marketing led to long term involvement within the mid 90’s re-emergence of graffiti culture, unexpectedly marketable, the commercialization of the culture and its association with freight trains ultimately steered his inclinations to the ethics of tramp travel, riding between cities as an affordable means of transportation abundant experience and recluse.

The expanse of these experiences later committed themselves to a series of academic lectures delivered through the UBC and Langara departments of cultural study as well as an advisory position with Vancouver City Hall, the Co-founding of the now defunct Misanthropy gallery (2003-2005), a limited edition street wear line
(Pacificthorn.com) among a variety of other ventures.

In consideration to theoretical psychological themes and manipulations in marketing making up the parameters of our social template, our understanding of things as we initially perceive them defines the make up of our reality, perceived environment and identity. Neal’s present work explores the realm of definition, obscuring the identity of pre-existing media creating new themes in the alteration of contemporary and nostalgic reference, breaking down the barriers of definition in attempts to re-condition the archetypes within individual perspective.

Alexis Moreau

Alexis MoreauAlexis Moreau is a self taught Graphic Designer that has adapted a highly interpretive world by use of what he lovingly refers to as "silly pictures" to a multitude of mediums.

With a background in graffiti (and drawing elaborate worlds of weirdness) Alexis has transformed his work into the digital medium upon buying a computer while stationed in the middle of nowhere, compliments of the Canadian Military.

Alexis started to adapt his own photography and drawings into a mash of dirty pop culture mockery. This developed a unique style of ever rebellious messages with under tones of political irony.

Having traveled and lived in a multitude of cities and countries, always open to try something new and meet new people Alexis has had a unique set of experiences of the world causing him both excitement and disgust. Along the way Alexis has met many similar rebellious creatives that have collaborated with.

Create. Destroy. Repeat.

ADAM LUPTON
Mixed Media Artist & Designer - Vancouver

Lupton strays from usual mediums, and instead chooses to compose on everyday objects — those that get overlooked on a regular basis. Having a keen interest in facial expressions and their emotive values, he combines his passion for street art, typography, and tattoos to form the basis of his descriptive works. Lupton purposely alters portions of his subject to create glaring contrasts.

His design work (t shirts) deals significantly with hand drawn typographic and illustrative elements, as he tries to separate from the clean systematic format of computer design.

Adam recently was selected as one of 300 applicants for the Modern Amusement/ Holt Renfrew T Shirt Design Contest… and won first place! His design will be used by Modern Amusement and sold at Holts! Meaning, only places you can get Adam’s tees are at Planet Claire & Holt Renfrew…not bad!

MEGZ MAJEWSKI
Visual Artist - Vancouver

Megan Majewski’s cute-'n'-creepy art shows a world of twisted and bizarre dead girls, forgotten pets and other sweet-but-formerly-living things. Although non-living, you can feel the spiderly souls of the characters’ lives and the hardships they endure as skinny-necked oddball creatures from a gloomy underworld of the dead. With subjects that can be placed in the realm of Victor Van Dort and Beetlegeuse, they posess a certain cute-and-cuddly quality that makes you want to pinch their decaying, discolored cheeks.
